Greater Yellowstone Region Information and my take about everything else, Economy, Nation, World etc.!
I have been freelancing landscape, lifestyle and wildlife photography since the mid 80’s. The quest for light drives we photographers to search out pretty places or to dissect our surroundings to find illumination to capture where we are. It makes us seek out beautiful things even in adverse conditions. During our daily travel, we are looking for a beautiful rectangle we can isolate out of the chaos of life.
My photographs have been published by National Geographic, Outside Magazine, Snow Country, International Wolf, the Mule Deer Foundation Magazine, Outdoor life, Esquire Sports, West Coast Board Sailor, Warren Miller Productions, U.S.A. Today, San Francisco Magazine, Fly-fisherman, Mother Jones, Toyota, Yes Magazine, International Wolf, and Beet - a fishing magazine and Fit For Fun a German sports Magazine. In the 80’s and, 90’’s Mountain Stock Photo and Film represented my work and today I am with Getty Images.
My freelance photography bifurcated to include graphic design work, which opened the door to web publishing requiring that I learned to write. I publish the Greater Yellowstone Resource Guide. I once wrote a column for the Jackson Hole Weekly.
As a stock photographer my photos have been used in hundreds of brochures, rack cards, newspapers, and websites promoting the Greater Yellowstone area and beyond. Today, I shoot exclusively with my Canon EOS D5 Mark ll and a Canon 7D.
I have been working with Photoshop extensively since 1995 and am proficient with photo manipulation, montage, and RAW processing and have a growing grasp of RAWs exponential opportunity. Today, my photo management system is Aperture by Apple; it is superb at color correction with the added benefit of photo database management.
The quest for serendipitous convergence of light and subject lives in the hearts of dedicated photographers. When you are always seeking beauty, you will find more than your share - that is rich.
I publish “The Greater Yellowstone Resource Guide” I shoot stock photography that can be seen at “The Hole Picture” and I sell Gallery Prints at my online photo gallery.

I respect your views and look a nice man and good citizen, however you are in deep error. Socialism, though traditionally the bane of workers and the cause of the Academic or the Elite, is a unifying force for a greater humanitarian focus. If you have read anything on the history and not just deluded yourself with propaganda, as is apparent, you would know most history at the college level is taught through Marxist perspectives and Socialist hermeneutics.
The only important statistic is that the greatest contributor to the national deficit is unpaid or uncollected tax revenue. As more corporations push for lower taxes, more pay unofficial employees with untaxed wages.
Until tax becomes a viable part of our democracy and tax evasion outlawed in practice, all other arguments are obviated.
Cultural Hegemony plays a part in all our lives. You are dictated to by a phantom notion of what America should be, which as been interpreted by other impressionable citizens not completely aware of their own political history. Therefore the ignorance mounts until the notions of the first citizens, who railed against mercantilism and religious zeal, fade into a distorted memory.
Anonymous,
Yes you are entitled to your opinion but don't tell me I didn't come by my opinion without my own research.
Your statistics about taxes assume it was OK to spend too much money in the first place.
I am guilty, Thomas Jefferson and many of the founding fathers set fourth a hegemony of merit and I will follow that one and you can follow the one of Marx.
It is a shame not enough people realize the brilliance of Thomas Jefferson's views of the place of government.
Yes I do know higher education is riddled with marxist professors.
